Make your own homemade fish pie dog treats using one of our beloved fish treats! Packed with wholesome ingredients like flaxseeds, sweet potatoes, and Skipper's Whitefish & Herb Slices, these treats are sure to make tails wag with joy. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flaxseeds with 2 eggs, stirring until thoroughly mixed and a dough forms.
Roll out the flaxseed dough on a lightly floured surface and use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into circle shapes, creating the crust for your pies.
Place the cutout circles into baking cups or a muffin pan and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and crisp.
Whilst the crust is baking, peel and boil the sweet potatoes until they are soft and tender. - Optionally, cut the Skipper's Whitefish & Herb Slices into smaller, bite-sized pieces for easy filling.
Once the crust is baked, fill each pie with the prepared Skipper's Whitefish & Herb Slices.
Mash the boiled sweet potatoes and mix in a splash of goat's milk to create a creamy consistency; spread the mashed sweet potato on top of the filled pies and add any desired toppings for extra taste!
