Shipping Information

WHAT SHIPPING METHODS ARE AVAILABLE?
  • We ship orders with both Royal Mail and DPD. 
  • Our Standard Delivery charge is £4.00.
  • Scottish Highlands, British Islands and Northern Ireland will incur extra charges, calculated at checkout.
  • Orders over £40 qualify for FREE delivery. This does not apply to Scottish Highlands, British Islands and Northern Ireland.
  • Next Day Delivery is available at a cost of £6.50. This is exempt from the £40 FREE delivery threshold and does not apply to Scottish Highlands, British Islands and Northern Ireland.
  • Raw food orders are only dispatched Monday-Thursday via 24 hour couriers, in insulated boxes. They may arrive slightly chilled rather than frozen, but are perfectly safe to go back into the freezer on arrival. Orders on Wednesday and Thursdays may occasionally need to be dispatched the following Monday. All orders received on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY PACKAGE?

We aim to dispatch orders same day or the following working day, and at the time of dispatch and e-mail will be sent to your registered address notifying you that it has left us.

On our standard delivery service you should receive your order within 2 to 5 working days. Please contact us if your parcel has not arrived in 5 working days. If you choose next day delivery providing you have placed the order before the 1pm cut off time your order should arrive with you the following working day. If this is not the case please contact us as soon as possible.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
We can ship orders to most countries, please contact us by e-mailing info@skipperspetproducts.com so we can provide you with a delivery quote.

Product Information

DO SKIPPER'S TREATS CONTAIN ANY ARTIFICIAL ADDITIVES
No, we don't use artificial additives of any kind in any of our products. In fact we like to keep things as simple as possible so many of our products contain only single ingredients, meaning you can be sure of exactly what it is you're feeding to your dog.
DOES IT MATTER IF I MOISTEN THE JERKY
Not at all, the Vikings frequently used to re-hydrate their dried fish.
MY DOG SUFFERS FROM STOMACH UPSETS, WOULD DRIED FISH BE OK FOR HIM?
Our treats should be perfect for him! Although each individual case is different, fish is highly digestible and low in saturated fat and rarely causes dogs problems of any kind.
ARE THESE PRODUCTS SUITABLE FOR PUPPIES?
Most of our treats are absolutely suitable for puppies. Not only will they keep their teeth clean but the Omega oils will help them develop and keep their coat shiny and healthy too!

Some of our products may be a bit too much too chew on depending on their age however, so we've made it possible for you to narrow down your search to products suitable for puppies using the filters on the product category pages.

HOW SHOULD I STORE YOUR PRODUCTS
You should store our products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A cupboard or a draw is absolutely fine.

While our products don't need to be sealed in an airtight container to last their shelf life, we would recommend it. Being a natural product, our treats can be quite pungent, so storing them in an air tight container can help alleviate the smell in your storage space.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
We accept most major credit and debit cards and also accept payments via Paypal. Orders placed over the phone can also be paid via BACS or cheque, and will be dispatched once funds are cleared.

Orders and Returns

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?
You can place an order online by adding the products you wish to purchase to your basket and proceeding through checkout, or you can give us a call at the office to take your order by phone.
DO I NEED AN ACCOUNT TO PLACE AN ORDER?
No, it is possible to check out as a guest but we recommend you create an account so that you can access information relating to your orders more easily, and to help speed up the check out process on any future orders you would like to place.

HOW CAN I CANCEL OR CHANGE MY ORDER?
If you would like to cancel or change your order please contact us straight away, providing your order has not yet been dispatched we can cancel or make any amendments you wish.
HOW DO I TRACK MY ORDER?
Where available a tracking number and link will be provided to you via e-mail or SMS text message.
WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO RETURN MY ORDER OR GET A REFUND?
All returns or requests for refunds should be notified to Skipper's within 14 days.

Skipper’s are dedicated to ensuring you - and especially your dog - are happy with our products, prices and service. Should any of our products be found to be faulty, damaged or different from the description given on the Skipper’s website, we will be pleased to arrange to either refund or replace the product at the discretion of the customer.

In the event of a customer purchasing an item from Skipper’s by mistake and through no fault of Skipper’s, we will be happy to replace or refund the item provided that the original item is returned to us unused, unopened and in a saleable condition. In cases where the customer is either unable or unwilling to arrange return carriage after mistakenly purchasing a product, Skipper’s reserves the right to charge an uplift fee to cover the cost of employing a courier company to collect the item from the customer.

We will refund the original delivery charges in the event of a product being faulty, damaged or different from the description. When an order is returned due to no fault of Skipper’s, we reserve the right to retain the cost of the carriage.

If the product returned is not in a fully resalable condition, and also we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount. This does not affect your statutory rights.
