Our Grimsby-inspired Christmas Print is the artwork featured on this year's limited edition Skipper's Dog Advent Calendar. As a collaboration with Fran, a talented artist, she hand-painted this vibrant piece that captures the hearts of our seaside town with charm, four-legged friends, and a splash of festive fun.
The scene showcases iconic Grimsby landmarks like the Dock Tower, the Ice House, and the beloved Ross Tiger, which has been renamed the Ruff Tiger in honour of our furry friends!
Painted in Fran's signature style, this artwork blends Grimsby's rich fishing heritage with a touch of Christmas magic and canine character.

Introducing Francesca Young
About The Artist
At Skipper’s, we love championing local talent — so this year, we teamed up with the brilliant Francesca Young, a much-loved Grimsby artist, to design our Advent Calendars. The artwork celebrates our hometown with illustrations of the iconic Dock Tower and the Ross Tiger fishing trawler.
Fran is a Cleethorpes based artist and illustrator who creates vibrant, imaginative scenes of the local area. Her watercolour and pen work blends real buildings with playful colour and a touch of nostalgia, capturing the charm of the British seaside. With a background in art and plenty of family support, she’s turned her love for her hometown into a full-time creative career.
