A stick from the sea, naturally made for chewing satisfaction.

Made from 100% air-dried Cod skin, our Fish Skin Throw Sticks are a natural, single-ingredient treat with no additives or preservatives. This long-lasting chew is just pure, chewy goodness.

Sourced from sustainable fishing grounds and gently dried to remove moisture, these sticks are nutritionally dense and full of flavour your dog will love.

The firm, abrasive texture is designed to satisfy your dog's urge to chew whilst helping to support dental health by reducing plaque and tartar buildup. Our Fish Skin Throw Sticks are high in protein and low in fat.

This is a natural product. Colour and size may vary slightly. Don't forget that dogs can get very excited and forget to chew. We advise you to always supervise your dog when feeding a treat.

Other Chews Versus

Our Fish Skin Chews

Other Dog treats on the market are often largely made up of fillers and poor quality ingredients, with additives and preservatives. Here's how we compare.

Our Process

Bringing you high quality Fish treats from the sea to your dogs bowl.

Step 1: Sourcing

Sustainably sourced fish is skinned and filleted. The fillets go to places like Supermarkets and fishmongers while we take the skins that would otherwise not be used.

Step 2: Shaping

We grade the skins by size and twist and fold them by hand into the required shapes to make the products our customers love.

Step 3: Drying

The skins go into our special air-drying ovens, at low temperatures, for 2-5 days, and we gently lift the moisture from the skins.

FAQ

How many treats can I feed a day?

You can feed treats on a daily basis. However, it's important that they do not make up more than 10% of your dog's daily caloric intake.

Are Skipper's fish treats low in fat?

Overall, the majority of our treats are considered low in fat, especially our Whitefish range, as these only contain around 2.56% fat.

What age are the Fish Skin chews suitable from?

16 weeks is the earliest age you can start feeding our Fish Skin chews to your dog.

How do fish treats help to clean a dog's teeth?

Our fish treats have a naturally abrasive texture. When your dog chews on the treat, it creates friction against the teeth, scraping away plaque and tartar buildup. The chewing action also stimulates the production of saliva, which helps to break down food particles and further helps your dog maintain healthy gums and teeth.

What is the different between Wolffish and Whitefish?

There are a few key differences between our whitefish and wolffish range of treats. Our whitefish range is leaner, with a lower fat content of 2.56% compared to wolffish at 8.66%. Additionally, our wolffish treats are slightly tougher, offering a longer-lasting chew. Finally, our wolffish treats contain a higher protein and oil content, making these slightly richer than the whitefish.

However, both are high in Omega-3 and air-dried to lock in nutrients. This offers various health benefits to your dog and makes them an excellent natural treat choice.

Are Fish Skin chews a long-lasting treat?

Our Fish Skin chews are amongst the longest-lasting treats in our range. The longevity of the treat is dependent on how strong of a chewer your dog is. On average, our Fish Skin chews last approximately 5-15 minutes.

What size Fish Skin Throw Stick do you recommend for my dog?

Please see below our size recommendations based on the purpose of the Fish Skin Throw Stick, which is a long-lasting chew.

Small breeds (1 - 10kg): Short
Medium breeds (11 - 25kg): Short or Regular
