Description

Healthy skin & coat starts from the inside!

Our skin & coat bundle includes a must-have supplement along with a variety of treats that are packed with omega 3's & 6's that help with improving the condition and appearance of your dog's skin and coat.

This missing piece to your dog's healthy diet might be this bundle! The healthy goodness on the inside will be shining through on the outside in no time!

Omega 3 & 6 contains a sea full of benefits, which can include:

  • Strengthening the immune system
  • Improving joint mobility
  • Calming dry, itchy skin
  • Supporting cardiovascular health
  • Aiding cognitive function, vision and hearing

It's helpful to know that oil supplements derived from salmon oil are essential to a dog's diet as, without EPA and DHA, dogs can be more readily susceptible to the onset of diseases and, in particular, immune-based deficiencies such as:

  • Eczema
  • Cracked Hairs / Poor Coat / Increased Shedding
  • Gout
  • Allergies
  • Liver disorders
  • Dermatitis

Don’t forget that dogs can get very excited and forget to chew. We always advise supervising your dog when feeding any treats.

What's in the Skin & Coat Bundle?

  • 70g Dried Sprats
  • 70g Short Wolf Fish Flatties
  • 70g Short Wolf Fish Twists

Our Process

Bringing you high quality Fish treats from the sea to your dogs bowl.

Skipper's production process illustration

Step 1: Sourcing

Sustainably sourced fish is skinned and filleted. The fillets go to places like Supermarkets and fishmongers while we take the skins that would otherwise not be used.

Step 2: Shaping

We grade the skins by size and twist and fold them by hand into the required shapes to make the products our customers love.

Step 3: Drying

The skins go into our special air-drying ovens, at low temperatures, for 2-5 days, and we gently lift the moisture from the skins.

What Our Customers Say

We've delivered over 300,000 orders of Fishy treats and foods to our customers pets since 2014.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does fish help with my dog's skin and coat?

Fish is great to add to your dog's diet as either the main protein or a supplement. This is because of the rich content of Omega-3 found in fish. Omega-3 is essential for your dog's coat to be much more shiny, therefore making the coat look healthier. Not only does Omega-3 improve the appearance of your dog's coat, it also reduces itchiness and dryness on your dog's skin.

Can fish upset a dog's stomach?

Fish is a high-quality, easily digestible protein, which is great for dogs with sensitive stomachs. However, if the fish treats are causing your dog to get an upset stomach, we recommend seeking advice from your veterinarian, as your dog may have an allergy to fish. If so, your veterinarian will diagnose this. Another reason can be due to a sudden diet change.

Do Skipper's fish treats contain bones?

We try our best to remove all bones from our fish treats. The initial step of this procedure is to strip the skins of all the fish bones. From there we have multiple checkpoints to check for any bones that may have been missed earlier.

Please note that everything is all handmade and although we have all these measures in place, it is very hard to eradicate all bones from the treats.

Will this treat make my dog's breath smell?

Your dog's breath will only smell of fish for the period they are eating the treat and for a short period after. The smell does not linger and can, in fact, help to clean your dog's teeth, in turn helping to freshen your dog's breath.
