Steve Moore, Skipper's founder, on where our fish comes from

Where Our Fish Comes From

We use only high-quality, sustainably sourced fish, and our skins come from fish already prepared for the human food market.

When we started Skipper’s, these skins were usually tossed aside. By turning them into delicious dog treats, we’re helping reduce waste and give more of the fish a purpose.

Now fish skin is finally getting the love it deserves. Packed with natural collagen and in high demand for its health benefits.

What Our Customers Say

We've delivered over 300,000 orders of Fishy treats and foods to our customers pets since 2014.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of Salmon for dogs?

Salmon can help with various aspects of your dog's health, such as:
• Strengthening the immune system
• Improving joint mobility
• Calming dry, itchy skin
• Supporting cardiovascular health
• Aiding cognitive function, vision and hearing

Can my dog eat Salmon?

Yes! Your dog can eat Salmon. In fact, Salmon is one of the top 5 brain foods for dogs and including it in your dog's diet can be beneficial to their overall health.

Can fish upset a dog's stomach?

Fish is a high-quality, easily digestible protein, which is great for dogs with sensitive stomachs. However, if the fish treats are causing your dog to get an upset stomach, we recommend seeking advice from your veterinarian, as your dog may have an allergy to fish. If so, your veterinarian will diagnose this. Another reason can be due to a sudden diet change.

How can I feed the Salmon Pate?

Our Salmon Pate is super versatile! You can slice it, spread it, or stuff it into toys or enrichment mats. It’s perfect as a high-value training treat, a topper for meals to boost flavour and nutrition, or simply as a tasty snack. Its soft, spreadable texture makes it easy to use in small amounts and is ideal for portion control and rewarding on the go.

How should I store it?

The Pâté should be stored in a cool, dry place.

Can I feed the Pâté as a meal replacement?

No, the Pâté should be fed as a treat or as a meal topper, rather than a complete dog food.

How should I feed this Pâté?

You can use the Pâté in multiple ways. Spoon it into an enrichment toy, mix it into your dog's meal as a topper, slice or cube it, freeze a portion, or serve straight from the pouch.

Is our Pâté suitable for all dogs?
